Convoy have a whole load of flashlights, all with confusingly similar names. Convoy sell their flashlights on the Convoy AliExpress Store, Banggood and Nealsgadgets but there’s so many that it’s impossible to work out which one is which.
Here’s a rough overview of the main ones. This isn’t going to be fully comprehensive but should give you a rough overview. Links here are to Convoy’s AliExpress store.
Note that Convoy often sell more than 1 version of the light, so use the search to find others. Convoy also sometimes update lights and keep the name the same, so there’s lots of conflicting info online.
Get in touch if you have any corrections or clarifications.
Update: the amazing Parametrek has now added all the Convoy lights to their database! The database is a great way to search by size, lumens or many other specifications.
- The first letter T/S/M/L roughly corresponds to the size.
- Sometimes the numbers like 21 or 26 refer to the cell size (diameter).
- All lights have tail switches, unless specified otherwise
- USB charging isn’t included, unless specified otherwise
These are generally straight tube lights that are fairly small.
|S2||Deeper reflector than S2+. Brass pill.|
|S2+||More floody version of S2. Brass pill.|
|S3||Removable bezel. Integrated shelf version of S2+. Had slight revisions but never got a new name. Current version has an integrated shelf, and there was an older version with a pill. Uses the same reflector size as the S2+ and the current version uses Convoy’s square threads (in fact, it had them before the S2+ switched over).|
|S6||Even deeper reflector (more throw) than S2|
|S8||Crenellated bezel and comes with a clip. Almost “tactical”|
|S9||Micro USB and side switch. Very different to most of the S series.|
|S10||Pointed bezel. Maybe for gemology.|
|S21A||Straight tube. Brass pill.|
|S21B||Straight tube. Integrated shelf version of S21A|
|S12||Not straight tube. Triple reflector.|
|S16||Not straight tube. Similar to S12 but single refelctor|
|S11||Tail switch and no USB|
M series (medium?)
M series is similar in size to P60-using lights like the Surefire 6P.
|M1||35.6mm||Almost like a slimmer C8. A lot of cooling fins for its size. It can run warm better than most torches its size.|
|M2||31.6mm||Crenelated bezel and comes with a clip. Very poor waterproofing and the bezel is stainless steel.|
|M21C-U||55mm||Side switch version of M21-C|
|M21D||55mm||Side switch and USB-C charging version of M21-C / M21C-U|
|M3-C||48.1mm||Side switch. USB-C charging version of M3|
|M4U||41.3mm||Side switch. Micro USB charging. 41.3mm head|
|M26C||55mm||Tail siwtch. Like the M21-C but 26650|
L series (large?)
|L2||2 * 26650||64.5mm|
|L6||2 * 26650||75mm|
|C8||18650||44.5mm||From what I can tell, Convoy didn’t invent the name “C8”. According to this BLF thread, Ultrafire were the first with a C8 flashlight model.|
|C8+||18650||44.5mm||Updated version of original C8|
|Z1||21700||52mm||21700 zoomable aspheric|
|4X18A||4 * 18650||69mm||Now available with SBT90.2!|
|3X21||3 * 21700||3 SST40. Or 3 SFT40 for more throw.|
|BD02||18650||41.5mm||Tail switch. Proprietary charging.|
|BD03||18650||24mm||Tail switch. Proprietary charging.|
|BD04||18650||32mm||Zoomable. Tail switch. Proprietary charging.|
